Healthy Smile Starts Here
Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps protect and strengthen tooth enamel. It works by making your teeth more resistant to decay and can even reverse early signs of cavities. Our in-office fluoride treatments are quick, painless, and safe for patients of all ages.
It’s an easy way to give your smile extra protection between dental visits.
Advantages of Fluoride Treatments
- Prevents tooth decay – Creates a stronger barrier against cavity-causing bacteria
- Strengthens enamel – Helps teeth resist damage from acids and wear
- Reverses early decay – Can stop small cavities before they require fillings
- Protects all ages – Beneficial for children, teens, and adults alike
- Quick and painless – Takes just minutes and offers long-lasting protection
Everything You Need to Know About Fluoride Treatments
A concentrated fluoride treatment is applied to your teeth as a gel, foam, or varnish. The application only takes a few minutes and is very comfortable. Afterward, you’ll be asked to wait about 30 minutes before eating or drinking so the fluoride can absorb into the enamel.
Fluoride fortifies tooth enamel, helps protect against acid from bacteria and sugars, and supports proper tooth development in children. It’s a trusted way to reduce cavities and protect your smile long term.
Most patients benefit from fluoride treatment every six months as part of preventive care. Those with higher cavity risk, including frequent sugar intake, dry mouth, or gum recession, may need it more often. Contact us if you notice frequent cavities or decay, tooth sensitivity, receding gums that expose roots, a history of weak or thin enamel, or if you wear braces or other orthodontic appliances.
We use updated fluoride varnishes and gels that absorb efficiently and have mild flavors, helping make treatment more comfortable and effective for children.
